About the project
ZombieClub is a 6,666-piece NFT collection, launched by actor Shawn Yue, whose presale reached number one on OpenSea in under three hours. I built their official site — the public face of the project, from news and roadmap to the team, and the gallery where holders browse the entire collection, searchable by trait, with 3D models they can rotate in the browser.
I built the front end alone over four months, working alongside a backend engineer and a PM. Next.js renders the gallery server-side and proxies the collection API so credentials never reach the browser; artwork loads from IPFS, and the gallery serves both the pre-reveal and post-reveal state of the drop. Wallet connection runs on RainbowKit and wagmi across Ethereum and Polygon, behind a custom connect button that handles the wrong-network case too.
The hard parts were not the ones I expected. The GLB models were far too heavy to drop into a page as they were — getting them to load quickly and still turn smoothly under the cursor took real tuning. And the design comps were exact; reproducing them faithfully took as much attention as anything technical.
